It’s the question everyone is asking, who will win the first-ever winter World Cup Golden Boot?

England captain Harry Kane was the last player to take home the Golden Boot. The striker scored six goals in as many games in the 2018 World Cup to win the award last time out. He’ll hope for a follow-up this year, although it won’t be easy as several other world-class attackers are also gunning for the big prize.

A late winner for South Korea saw them qualify for the World Cup’s last-16 round ahead of Uruguay.

South Korea defeated Portugal 2-1 in their World Cup game on Friday. A dramatic victory saw Taegeuk Warriors qualify to the next round alongside Portugal.

Portugal manager Fernando Santos has confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo is not fully fit ahead of his side’s upcoming match against South Korea.

Ronaldo played for Portugal in their 2-0 win over Uruguay on Monday. However, he couldn’t participate in his side’s training two days later.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference, Santos admitted Ronaldo might miss the game against South Korea.

“I think it is 50-50 if he plays or not, we’ll see,” Santos said at a press conference. 

“It will depend on if and how he practices today, if we see he is in good condition. There is a plan for if he is not available.”

Portugal have already qualified for the knockout stage after winning their first two Group H games.
